I am
…Francesco, graduated from Artistic Lyceum of Rome (Academia) with a concentration in Industrial Design and Jewelry, and have designed award-winning jewelry and wearable art for the past 40 years.
I’m inspired by all aspects of art in diverse media, striving to create jewelry in nontraditional ways.
Past collaborations have involved a varied repertoire of artists including theatre director Marcello Sambati and audiovisual artist Marco Ariano. My work has been shown in galleries and exhibits around the globe including shows in Antwerp, Rome, Turin, Manama, Moscow, and New York.
As an art instructor, I’ve held appointments at schools and academy throughout Italy including the TARI Foundation of Naples.
My accomplishments have included an 11-year apprenticeship in high-end jewelry techniques and jewelry restoration under Professor Mario Turrini and Master sculptor Ugo Sartoris, disciple of Mirko Basaldella, in their Italian studios.
I am a multi-year recipient of the American Vision Award Jewelry Design Competition, The Saul Bell Design Award, and the Precious Desires Jewelry Show Award.
I am an active member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG), and I currently reside and work in New York.
One of a Kind and Prototypes
I think
…technologies like CAD/CAM and 3D printing are for sure fascinating and great tools for any industry. A tool is an extension of our hand and even though computerized equipments can reach precision and consistency still there is the need of a knowledgeable model maker that knows how a prototype should be done by hand.
Myths: either they are followed, or they are created. To be true to oneself, one must humbly design transgressive objects in their own right.
This is how unusual, unique, and often brazen wearable art is created. Ultimately inimitable, and undeniably exclusive.
My Work...
…is focused to accomplish customer dreams. What I create by myself is just a personal expression, a vision that comes from my soul.
Interacting with a customer or a brand is a different approach and I love to respect and translate three-dimensionally their visions.
I work with traditional materials – high carat gold content, platinum, and silver with or without precious and semi-precious stones.
I am also drawn to non-traditional materials such as steels, carbon fiber, intriguing wood species, acrylics, and water.
Cold forging, wax carving, lathe and milling machining, molding, casting, torches brazing, laser welding, filing, sanding,
engraving, texturing, finishing, polishing, fire enameling techniques (Cloisonné, Champlevé, Plique-à-jour),bezel/prong/tension/pavé and other stone setting techniques, electroplating, sketching, drawing (manually and/or digitally), still life photography (35mm & Large Format), Photoshop, 3D modeling (solidThinking – Evolve), set design, project management are just to mention several of the skills I am involved into on regular basis.

“In their adherence to the minimal, Francesco Teresi’s works evoke an unusual world…calm seas, the unpredictable interplay between sunlight and water. The beauty of these objects is by no means conventional but goes beyond the known, diffusing the perfume of new harmonies.
This novelty introduces a new idea of beauty which both stimulates and fascinates, and ultimately gratifies our dormant aesthetic desires in small, sweet ecstasies.”
